Morrison Community Care Group was founded in 1989 when Mr Surjit Sokhi and Dr Caroline Sokhi purchased their first care home; Abbotsford House, a multi-award-winning facility in the heart of Bearsden, Scotland.
After many years of developing and operating our own care facilities, we have now fully transitioned into the development space, managing the process end-to-end for land agents, operators, and investors.
We have a unique insight into how to develop best-in-class care homes that help to tackle the growing shortage of care beds across the UK and Ireland.
We strive to develop luxurious and innovative home-like spaces where residents will experience the highest quality of life and personal care and make the investment and development of care facilities smooth, sustainable, and profitable for operators and investors alike.
Each of our developments adheres to the best practice guidelines of our regulators – The Care Inspectorate in Scotland, Care Quality Commission in England and The Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority in Ireland.
We are involved in every project from start to finish; from sourcing the land to innovative design, ultimately developing facilities on time, on budget, and with the necessary accreditations.

Managing Director
A qualified Commercial Solicitor and Notary Public, Paul joined the family business in 2011. Since then, he has been instrumental in the acquisition, development, and sale of care homes across the UK.
Operational Director
With 20 years of experience in the Care Sector, Karen has managed both the operation and development of our care homes. She works at every stage of development, from land sourcing to facility registration.
Non-Executive Director
Ken is a highly experienced advisor and consultant within the Healthcare Sector and was previously Head of Healthcare (Scotland) for RBS. He has been integral in the expansion of Morrison Community Care Group.
Development Director
Nadir manages site acquisition, planning, and overseeing developments to practical completion. He has previously held Head of Commercial Agency & Development positions, as a Partner at Knight Frank LLP and as Director at BNP Paribas Real Estate.
